Vanessa Kingori MBE and Stephanie Phair have launched Share The Mic UK, inspired from the US initiative Share The Mic Now with the mission ‘to magnify Black women & their work to accelerate global change”.

Vanessa Kingori MBE is the Publishing Director of British Vogue and was the “first female to hold this position and the first Black person in the role in the owning company’s 100+ year history”. Vanessa shared her empowering words that “In our shared responsibility to dismantle systemic racism, relationships of mutual respect and support can bring people together, breakdown barriers....and can ultimately change the world”. Stephanie Phair is a director at Farfetch and is the Chairman and member of the Executive Board the British Fashion Council. Stephanie shared that “We are at a moment in history where change has to happen. The time to talk about it is over and the time to take action is now”.

So far participants confirmed include June Sarpong, Charlotte Tibury, Kourtney Kardashian, Noëlla Coursaris Musunka, Laura Brown, Sydney Reising, Arizona Muse, Amelia Buchanan, Bryony Gordan, Poppy Delevigne, Lorraine Candy, Susan Bender Whitfield, Skye McAlpine, Melissa Helmsley, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sharmadean Reid, Brooke Shields, Stella Maxwell and Nicole Crentsil.
