Applications are now open for the LVMH Prize 2022. The prize was “launched in 2013 … and embodies the commitment of the Group and its Houses towards today’s young designers who will be tomorrow’s rising stars”. This is a great opportunity to increase representation in the luxury fashion space for underrepresented designs.

Vogue Italia have released their ‘Inclusion Revolution’ campaign which is “a series of images about inclusion, embracing diversity in front and behind the camera”.
Do you want Gender Equality? The importance of standing up for size inclusivity.
This made me think how can we champion gender equality and women empowerment, yet within fashion, given that over 45% of women are size 16 and above, why do most brands only offer 8–16? That means nearly 45% of women are being excluded. Why is more not being done to address this equality? If you are a woman who is a size 18 why should you not have access to the same styles and choice of fashion as a size 14 or a size 10? There is nothing equal about this.
Gucci Changemakers x CFDA Scholars by Design Award 2020-2021

By establishing a scholarship fund specifically for diverse students in 2019, Gucci North America and the CFDA demonstrate a shared commitment to education and inclusive futures.’

15 Percent Pledge
‘Black people in the U.S. make up nearly 15% of the population’— 15 Percent Pledge was founded in June 2020 to ‘call on major retailers to commit a minimum of 15% of their shelf space to Black-owned business’ with the aim to help build generational wealth in Black communities.
